Firebox help

Hi guys. Just got a presonus firebox. Downloaded the vista drivers got windows to recognise it. During playback i can see the green monitor thingy going up and down in windows under playback devices, but no sound is coming out of my headphones plugged into the firebox. I get a hiss if i crank the volume on the firebox so i know they're working just can't get it to play sound. Windows is sending the signal, something I have/haven't done, probably something very simple, is falling down in the middle. Any help?

E sure vista is selecting the right output. I don't know about the firebox, but on my firepod it will switch outputs on me out of no where with vista. Hope this helps.

I know in XP you've got to select the Firebox as your default audio device. It's under the Audio tab in the Sound and Audio device properties box. HIH.

Yeah I've got the right output selected, I have managed to get sound out of it briefly after a restart but it cuts out after a minute or two. Really quite aggravating.
