*BUMP*

I hate bumping as much as the next guy but I really NEED feedback- deadline coming up.

you are still off tempo with your lyrics. it's funny because most cats can stay on tempo but have garbage lyrics, you on the other hand have some tight lyrics but can't stay on tempo. you still have to work on your delivery, but first practice keeping up with the beat. find the down beat of the track and stay on tempo with it. it's good to see that you are not giving up and you are still with it.

Ok ..I listen to the track that were there..and you are off beat..are you using headphone to listen to the beat while you record..just need to listen to the tempo of the track ...and learn to feel the track..the end of your flow should end on a snare hit..to make it a little easy for you..just go from there..you got the lyrics..now its time to deliver it on the track right..keep up the good work tho

Yes, I'm using headphones now; I think I should try get a better feel of the snares next time, I believe that's the problem

are you tracking everything on your own or do you have a friend helping you? you should probably play the beat out loud on a stereo and rap to a friend just like you are in an open cypher. when you start leaving the beat your friend can stop you and point it out to you and when you start improving you can get that instant feedback. that's just a suggestion. are you in the military?

I agree with the others here. You're having a hard time riding the beat correctly, and your tempo is off. Your cadence should line up with the tempo and it doesn't. Keep working on it fam.

Are you using a computer to record? you may have a latency problem. Check if you have a delay when you spit. You have some tight lyrics and this could be a nice song.

Thanks for using our free beat download. We tried to have beats for everyone. We'll have more coming soon. Keep up the good work. Remeber to just add our link or credit us. :D

I'm not in the military (just 14 yrs old) but I'm seriously considering it for the future. The reason my family's stationed overseas is my dad's work- they wanted him out here for three yrs.

I'll try to find a friend to work with but none of the folks here would. They're these stuck-up "international children." I stick to myself and mind my own business but get a lot of hate for stupid reasons- (they claim I'm "pretending to be American" since I ain't white, that it's stupid that I'm a rapper, it's "obsessive" to have a picture of 'Pac and Malcolm in my locker.) Hip-hop is my release from this world I'm stuck in, the only way that I achieve freedom. Every word of anger, love, and pain in my lyrics is from the heart.

My only homies are those back in the District, who I'll be seeing soon (in two weeks, I'm visiting home again). When I get to the area, I'll try to do some STUDIO recording (obviously after running through the material over and over at home til I get it down).

BeatsBuy, I tried to credit you in the song title but myspace would not let me. Who's Next would but it will not load my files correctly. I'm still trying to figure out a way to do do. Also, I was working on a design for an EP I'm sending someone to get on some mixtapes and the inner cover has "PRODUCED BY WWW.BEATSBUY.COM" in large letters.

I think I'll do what I did once for fun but not seriously (record through my preamp into tape and then re-route that to the PC). That may work.

I'ma keep working!

your only 14? wow, you definetly have a lot of potential, your writting is heads and shoulders above where mine was at 14.

keep at it man, it will pay off.

PM me if theres anyway i can help or you need any advice, i'll offer any that i have.
i'll try to hit you with some beats too. (Jigsaw is on its way soon, sorry for this huge delay).

.peace.

jibran,

Just keep it up! You have the Passion. And when you love the music, nothin can keep you away from making it. Having someone record you may really help...

MAN, i didn't even think about that, that's a good question beatsbuy. yeah jibran, when you listen back to your tracks do you feel like " hey, tha's not how it's supposed to sound"? or do you feel like we are hearing something that you are not? if you feel like that's not how it sounded when you were recording then it's a strong possibility that latency is your enemy. if you don't hear what we hear then it's your internal rhythm serving as the culprit.

It's my rhythm, methinks. Peep the new track, I also cleaned up the vocals on this one. It'll be up in about half an hour. I think I've FINALLY managed to ride the beat a lil bit, I took it from the lyrical level.

i'll listen to the new one in a second...

try this....

put on the beat you plan to write to, and just speak jibberish over it to find the rythum.

literally just say "da da, bada bumm bum ba da da" and find the rythum.
the when you write, try to keep that rythum intacked.
even if you have to write sub-par lyrics, i think it will help get you used to the feeling of riding a beat.
