Finally something from me

Krakit,

You can check your playback stats on nowhere radio by clicking on "artist administration" and then playback stats. It keeps track, by month, of how many unique listens you had, how many times the songs were actually played by those unique listeners. The charts are determined by the number of unique players...i.e. different computers listening to you.

Congrats. You shouldn't feel embarrassed. This is really nice sounding, and we like to listen to it...so you get lots of plays. But, sometimes it's fun to check those stats...you can see which songs people really like best based on the ratio of unique plays to total plays.

I don't think there is a lot of listening in the urban and r/b section, because if 10 people all month listen to my songs...I am at number one. And Toki's got it for the rest of this month, that's for sure! I'm fairly certain other categories would demand more than urban/r&b. LOL. I think our mixing clinic helps to put people at number one more than about anything.

Do many of you just surf around in nowhere, or wait until someone puts something on this chopping block? Just curious.

Sounds Great Krakit,
Kirstin

Carl,

This has been on my 'must listen to' list for a while. I'm straight out gigged till January. Glad I got to it.

Hip stuff! J.S. Bach, Keith & Chic are among the influences here..but it's you dude......nice work! (A few clams and clips but so what, it's the soul that counts in this genre)

Interesting harmonic flow....... diatonic D major, nice Eb pentatonic lick back to D maj... to E dorian with a few b5s thrown in for good measure....yummy..., a tad of f minor & back to D maj, all well transitioned interspersed with tasteful 'free' and chromatic passages. I especially liked the clean two- handed 'ala chic' lines & your alternating octaves. Hip dynamics and varied articulation thru-out.

Your best playing happens when you stop thinking and totally get into the 'zone'. You know.........that special place you go when you are being non-judgemental of yourself, quiet the mind and
simply enjoy the fruits of previous labor.....hmmmmm ...makes me wanna go play but everyone's sleeping.

You should be doing this full time!!!!! It wouldn't take you long with this intrinsic musicianship to take it to the next level. The cool thing about playing levels is that they are never ending. Good luck on your journey.

Peace,
Ralph

Here's our young chart topper (this month so far) Zeke's stats to give you an example:

Jam Saturday, 18th 321 550 1 1
Get Free Sunday, 19th 358 610 - -
The Beautiful People Sunday, 19th 725 1352 5 5

That's right, in the thousands, have to ask him how he does it, lol

Anyways, the stats aren't entirely accurate at this point. NWR4 will correct that hopefully... It seems more people are downloading than playing back these days...

Bah, I need to get some sleep (haven't slept in a few days)... Anyone recommend something natural to knock me out?!?

Drugs don't do nothing for me... I had one spell of about 3 weeks, and they gave me horse tranqs. Worked, but only for about 4 hours....

I'm trying the rye right now...

I'm amazed that you could pick out all that stuff. I couldn't do it, and that's me playing!

It has always been my dream to make a modest living from music. I've actually lived that dream for a few years.

Alas, it seems that my particular skills are not what is needed these days.

At this point, I would be happy to find just a drummer that was sympatico with my direction. Just me (my tons of hardware) and a proficient drummer. Hitting the venues and splitting the take.

The first Progressive Rock power duo!

Anyone know someone like that on Long Island?
