Finally finished our album!!

Well, my band (broken daylight) finally finished recording our album in such exotic locations as my living room, our drummers garage, and our guitarists bedroom!! I know there were people on here who wanted to have a listen, so i've stuck the first 5 tracks of 13 here:

any feedback would be greatly appreciated. We've recorded and mixed it all ourselves using the tips and tricks given to me by all the good people on this forum and a couple of others, so thanks very much for that!!

being I tiger woods/X box fan I listened to "Longest Drive"

My meters were pinned at 0Dbl. All the life has been smashed out of it and the highs actualy irritate my ears. This is ear fatigue material 1st class.

Did you compare this to any commercial CDs during the mixing stage?

Tastes like it's had a heavy dosage of T-Racks or something equaly sinister which is a shame cause underneath it all sounds like there's a good band with a good tune pleading to be heard.

I agree with Lemon...

It sounds like there is some decent material (I like the singer's voice), but things are wayyyyy over compressed and the guitars and highs wind up getting brittle and harsh.

Cheers for the tips there, I certainly see what you mean. I played arouns with Ozone on it so might take it off and see what happens!
