Hell yeah!!!!

Me and my fam just did a performance today(saterday) for a record label. The song we performed wa "Let You Know", the same joint I let yall cats hear. They was fellun us completely, but I don't know if I want to get signed to an independant label(they say the have nation-wide distribution) or contunue bangin with my own(Defcon 5 Productions). If I do decide to sign with them who would cop my album(based on what you've heard so far)?

Holla!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S.
If I ever blow, I'll probably still be coming on this joint................lol.............Gotta rep da "Homerecording.com hood"

Hell, I would buy your shit, I want to know more about the indie label, you know you gotta watch your back with all them cats, not sayin be scared and shit, just don't get jerked, you prolly know what you doin though.

If you get a chance, look up Wendy day ... rap coalition. You'll find every reason not to sign, if you feel those reasons eeither don't apply to your situation, or are compromises you can make, then congratulations :D

Oh yeah, make sure all the fam is on the same page, same goal and all that, that's why most groups break up.

Thanx for the support doggy!!!!

I just got the call a few minutes ago sayin they want us to perform in a talent shot-like thing at a local school with other artist selected from the audition. There is a cash prize for the contest, but the winners also get contracts if they want them. I'm still a little hesitant. Of course I'll tell them, "I want a copy of the contract so I can have it reviewed by my lawyer", even though I don't hve a lwyer and can't afford one. As a matter of fact, I was wonderin if I could post the contract up here and have it reviewed by some of you guys, I mean, are any of you well aware of the legal side of this shit(yall seem to know everything about the artistic and technical stuff).

Holla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd cop your shit you already know how i feel about your joints but my suggestion is KEEP PRODUCING ,keep making them tight beats,shit..thats one less person you have to pay and it makes you more valuable to a label!!!Good luck...Peep this site (the your career part) http://www.rapcoalition.org/

As far as I'm concerned, the album is as good as bought. You do good work. Would love to see H.R. blow up

I know just a small bit, but there are probably guys in that publicity forum that know more. I think that link Canine sent you is what I was talking about. I would still like to read the contract anyway, just to see how much I actually understand of that crap.

Thanx everyone.

I went to the sight, but it will be more helpful once I have the contract. I also have a book that explains the different types of contracts and clauses therein, that should be even more helpful than a lawyer. I'll keep you guys updated.

P.S.
The show is Saterday after this one coming up(Saterday after next :D), so I'll be busy cuz school starts back up(college) this thursday. I will have to make sure the sound quality of my beat is straight so that the fuck-ups won't be amplified when heard through those big ass monitors at the show. Gotta get my levels flatter in case they run the audio through some type of EQ(all the bass already in the beat plus their EQ would make their speakers explode........nah mean).

Holla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, they said the song we did at the audition had to be the one done at the show!!!!!

Gotta let these ... people? know what's on my? :(
I hate tonin it down

Oh well, do what you gotta do, hope you the best.

Oh, and if you get signed, can I just buy the CD directly from you anyway? I'd rather you get the full $15.99 :D
