final song mix (#3 of 11) - how's it translating?

guys, i'm posting near-final mixes of the songs that i'm about to release on cd.
these are unmastered files. so you'll have to crank em up.......LOUD

they were output at dithered 16 bit, with no processing. the mp3'd to 320 kbps.


i'd love to get just a quick listen from you, to establish translation on different systems.

Great bass tone. Excellent lead tone too.doubling on the vocals works really well. One of the cymbals seems oddly straight up the middle.
GREAT stuff - you really do put in the work before posting.

If it was my mix, I would personally push in a touch more top in the rhythm guitars, but not very much. Meh, personal preferences!

alright, thanks for listening again

you know, i've been pulling the guitars down, down, down, from 2khz up, cuz the single coils and the amp just gave them a LOT of bite...... i think after mastering, there will be enough 'sheen' across the top, to bring them out a bit... but honestly, i want them purely rhythm and secondary to the vox, always seems to be a fight for freq's between those two...

I like the tune, it gets down in that funky vein and satisfies my brain.

This track works for me. In particular the chorus and the harmonies, which are superb! The whole thing hangs together very well, tight and punchy!

it IS a bit funky...... i was listening to a bunch of SRV when i landed on the main riff, i don't play anything like srv, but his vibe.... that rubbed off.
