final setup, gearheads please come in for insight!

okay, so think i got my final setup.. i wont be able to splurg on gear anymore cause of financial reasons.. so i would hope this setup would last until i graduate college and get a good job. check it out, and let me know if i can do anything to make it better.

Interface
Tascam FW-1082 - a firewire interface with a control surface.. looks nice cause i hate using the mouse in Logic..

Mic(s)
AT4040
Blue Baby Bottle
..will also add a Rode NTK or the MXL V69ME

Mic Pre
Roland MMP-2
...and an M-Audio TAMPA or Presonus Eureka

Monitors
Yamaha MS80M - seems good for the price. what do you guys think about the M Audio BX8a's that goes for about $500 a pair?

Other Gear
Focusrite Liquid Mix - seems awsome

is there anything that i can add or replace that would give me a solid, respectable setup for the next couple of years? i appreciate any insight like always, thanks in advance, much respect.
 
What will you be recording? Do you need that many mics and all those channels of preamps?

Regarding the Liquid Mix, yes it looks interesting, but it isn't out yet. I've learned not to get too excited about gear until it's out and I've had a chance to try it.
 
You'll have 3 mics and 7 channels of mic pres? :confused:

You do realise the 1082 has mic pres with p. power on ins 1-4?

Also make sure you can use the interface with your version of Logic, IIRC the 1082 only works with ver. 7.

i wanted to get the other pres and mics to achieve different sounds. i would be doing hip hop and r&b, but i have a couple of friends who sings and does accoustic guitar. how are the pres on the 1082? are they already good enough for the applications i mentioned above? also, is the 1082 going to work with logic express 7.2? thank you for the replies and keep em commin'.
