Hey all,

When im recording i plug my mixer into a M-Audio Delta 1010LT. But once its on the computer, i would like to have a mixer infront of me that will let me change all the EQ for the tracks recorded on the h/d.

I was in a studio and noticed they guy had one, but anyone got any ideas what the name for this type of mixer is?

Thanks

If your talkin about controlling the plugin EQ's, you'd be talking about a control surface (i.e Mackie Control). Some digital mixers act as control surfaces as well as standard mixer (i.e. Yamaha 02R).

Exactly! But I have read reviews that the motorized faders are extremely noisy, and not ideal if you record near it with microphones. But I understand you can dump sysex files to your PC, edit the strings to deactivate the constant feedback (which eliminates the motorized features entirely), and put the new sysex back into it. And that if you don't do this with some programs, it behaves irradically due to not recieving the proper feedback information (i.e. most versions of Ableton Live, but not the newest release).

Do you use a Behringer BCR2000 B-Control Rotary?

Im just trying to figure, if i hooked that up, would it let me change the Trebble/Bass/Volume ect on what ever i have on screen?

no it won't. It designed for fader and pan movements. It doesn't have an eq to control bass and treble you would need to use a plug-in for that. If it can control the plug-in then it can control treble/bass

Ahh right, so anyone know any plug-ins for the above mixer to allow me to control the on screen Trebble/Bass/Mid in Sonar 3?
