are they basically the same amp? one with a 10 the other with a 12? the tube setup and wattage is the same, the blues Jr has controls for the master and pre and three band eq, the Pro Jr has only volume and tone, am I gonna regret no control for the pre amp tubes?

New, the blues is only about 30% more than the Pro, but used they're about double, this tells me something about which is more desireable, I'd like to know what you all think. I'm hoping to pick up a cheap small tube amp to hold me while I save for one of Steve's L'il Tone Monsters

i have the pro jr. and i like it...it gets loud til about 6 then it just gets dirtier, roll off the guitar vol and it cleans up nicely, i run my tone around 3....if it's a get you by amp then get the cheapest one....there's something to be said for one volume one tone

Thanks, that's the way I was leaning. Just wondered if I was gonna be able to "control the crunch".

They sound different. The more expensive one is more flexible, but the less expensive one sounds better (to me).
