I have been using Cakewalk at home for a few months now, and have put some rough sketches of songs out on the internet. I record using a Compaq laptop, a simple cheapola Behringer mixer, a Edirol USB device to plug in to the PC (no line in on the laptop), a Shure SM58 mic, an Alesis keyboard, and a Martin guitar using a J-Station Amp simulator.

I am looking for suggestions on how to increase the quality of my mixes through hardware purchases and/or by improving my Cakewalk skills. I am not sure what to do first to get the most bang for the buck.. If you have a minute and care to check out my stuff, and to make suggestions, please visit:

www.soundclick.com/channels3 and let me know your thoughts and ideas. I appreciate the help very much!

This kind of posts belong in the MP3 Mixing forum, further down on the main list of forums.

But I gave "You are Worthy" a listen. Sounds very good! :)

...That's right !!! It's worth listening. And MP3 Mixing Clinic shall rate this one with stars. Welcome to the board, channels3 :)
