The mix sounds awesome! Intruments and vocals are great. I love the harmonies.
But there is one thing that is incredibly nagging. The lyrics are shallow, vein, and just plain cliche. The begginning prologue had some promise. But, as the song progressed, lines like "You needed a friend and it's three am" and "It's all for one and one for all" are just examples of just plain, shallow lyrical cliches. There are also many "convenient rhymes." One line is written and the line after struggles due to the fact it was only made to fit in iambic pentameter.
The song does have promise. But what do the vast majority of people (who cannot play intruments) kisten for in a song? Lyrics are what touch people. Try to break free from your conscious and write how you feel. Do the words mean anything to you? What is the purpose of the song? What is the subject? Mean what you say, and people will relate.
The first line is the MOST important line of a song. It and the "hook" are the two lines people will remember. The first line sets up the scene of the entire song, and should match up with the hook fairly closely. "When your standing in line, and all you got is time, falling" and "Simple is the truth" Doesn't match.... at all.. it doesn't match in any way.
Again, I love the mix, the vocals sound awesome. I like the scraggly, glottle plosives in the voice. Nice tone. But how did Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven" touch our hearts? Was it because of the the main guitar riff. Or was it because, like all of us, we don't feel like we live up to the standards to "belong in heaven."
