Performance is a bit sloppy. Very Charlie Daniels sounding song and vocals. Ref: The Door.
Sounds like you were going for some handclaps from 2:00 to the solo, but they didn't come through in the mix. Some good loud multiclaps would sound good there.

That snare...well the whole drum kit sounds really fake...and its taking away from everything else. If there are any hi-hats, rides, or crashes they are non-existent. Its a great start, sounds like it has some potential but I think its still a way from being mastered in its form.

It's too loose to the beat imo. The drums are quite muddy. Those lead fills at the end could bump up a few db. The mix is balanced well otherwise but I'd work on the timing on this.

Remember....when there's not a lot going on in an arrangement....TIMING is everything. If timing isn't tight energy is lost. That's happening here.

Thanks for the feedback! Broken- I had not heard that song from CDB thanks for making that refrence. I can only get our band most times to commit to about a hour or two a week so it's has been diffcult to get tight recordings. I usally record my guitar to a click which I think is pretty close. Then the drummer and bass record there parts. I may nned to tight up my vocals in places.

Brutish I am going to bring up the overheads and stugort I am going to put some HP filters on the drums and others.

I always seem to struggle and fight with the guys in the band about timing any tips while recording
Thanks again guys!

The lead vocal sounds decent. Very good singing voice. Good vocal performance. It's a little hyped in the 5K-6K region or thereabouts.

Guitar performances, as has been stated, are a bit loose in spots.

guitar tone is a little mushy. Needs more umph.

Drums sound programmed. Kick is a little loud.

Little pop at 1:06.

Is there a bass guitar in there? If so, its way buried.

The performance is rather sloppy.

I couldn't even tell if the drums are fake or not since they are so drowned out.
The voice is too loud.
The guitars could be panned. The mix sounds rather mono-ish.

The tune is neat but this mix could use some work.

Tips about timing? Play in time. Re-record until you've got it done right. Just remember: nobody will know if it took you one or a hundred takes. We only care about the final product.
