i just got a brand new set of fender nickel plated steel super bullets for my strat, and wow, they feel and sound amazing. What are some of yoru favs?

Ones that use lots of extra paper to house the individual strings.

I like to insult hippies even when they can't see me doing it. :D But more so because I hate hippie companies.

Even though they are "hippy" I still play D'Addario XL120's, 9's...

Dean Farleys handwound "Snake Oil Strings" rock formula.

H2H

I have been using super bullets on my strats for over 20 years. I occasionally try something different, but always prefer the Fender strings... 10-46

D'Addario 9-42 on all my electrics, except on my PRS HBI I use a 10-46 set.

Power Slinky's, but I'll use whatever the carton deal of the month at GC is when I'm about to run out. Right now it's D'Addarios. Electric strings aren't different enough from brand to brand to pass up a good sale. :D

i've been using DR black beauty's latley. i tried blue steel's, after being a long tim ghs user. but they just seemed to break too quickly.

On my strat (2001 American Deluxe) I play D'addario Chromes (flatwound)...really mellow tone that my strat needed because it was so damn bright!...ahhh...never thought of playing with flatwound guitar strings...you've never lived! As for my Taylor 310 ce I play John Pearse mediums...you absolutely cannot beat them...I guess John Pearse is sort of a hippie company but I simply can't find anything that sounds better out of my acoustic. Give them a try...you won't be sorry.

Power Slinkies on my Ibanez
Regular Slinkies on my SG
I recently tried elixirs again after my friend claimed their new stuff is even better, but they suck horribly. It's true that they sound the same for a long time, but that just guarantees me that they'll always sound bad, and they have a wierd feel to them.

Ba...Ba...Boomer's 10's. Been using them for years never broke a string yet. Playing death/balck metal. :D

nobody will have heard of them but - knucklehead strings!!!
http://www.knucklehead.com/ craziest mofos ever! but yet so cool.
and their strings rock too! they just broke easier than most strings i have experience with.

Alright, I'll be the odd duck here. On my '64 Strat (big frets) I use Dean Markley Jazz - 12 to 56 (wound G to boot). Not for everybody but what a sound. ;)

Occasionally I will exchange the wound 26 for a plain 20.

I bought a pair of Elixer Nanoweb Lights (.10-.46) and they were wonderful! Lasted me 4 months before I decided to change the strings, they didn't even break! I don't know what the guy above was talking about, but they certainly didn't sound bad. I'll have to check out the Fender strings as well...

I tried the the D'addario flatwounds, huge bass response, alot more than I needed, but they felt like melted butter on my guitar strings, very smooth.

And there is NOTHING wrong with enviromentally consious companies...
