Do you mean "Sonor"?

Sonor

I'm partial to my Sonor birch kit in blue laquer fade. The black Evans reso heads on the bottoms make it absolutely beautiful. I get a stiffy every time I look at it....

Heh - I read this as "favorite drum band" and pictured a band made up exclusively of 4 or 5 drummers behind kits.

....

and then I read some of the posts:

I was kind of confused at first, then I realized I had misread the title as "Favorite Drum Band", not "Brand". That could be a fun poll.

clearly, we need some of these bands and then a new poll.

For me, it is def. a toss up between Yamaha and Gretsch. If I had the money, a Yamaha recording custom would be pretty sweet. Still love the little Gretsch kits for jazz recording, though. . .

That being said, my main kit is a vintage Slingerland, so I guess I don't really have a favorite. :D

Ddrums.

right now i have diablos. but i want to get a nicer maple or bubinga set.

i love em though.

I notice a majority of people under "other," probably because you left a good number of great brands out, like my personal favorite, Gretsch. But also DW, OC, and probably more.

I'm assuming this forum was started before any of the good drum brands existed.... Just kidding, but It would have been nice to give some of the brands like Ludwig, Gretsch and DW more respect that "other"

Didn't vote, because these (mine) weren't in the poll.
SONORS
14' black beauty LUDWIG snare
14' floor tom (racked)
16' floor tom (racked)
18' floor tom LUDWIG blue/olive badge
20' floor tom LUDWIG blue/olive badge (extremely rare):D
22' bass
dw 9000 double kick
several ZILDJIAN / SABIAN cymbals
SONOR / DW hardware

Dw

only way to live...

however a lot of bands and drummers I like are endorsed by Shine, and from what i've heard of them, they too are great sounding drums.
