I like my old ludwig kit, 24" virgin bass, 13" tom mounted of a cymbal stand, 18" floor tom, and 14" snare. nice sound

i like my cousin's Ludwig kit, but i think when it comes time to get me some studio drums, i'll probably go with Conaway.

Dw

Not even close. Play them once and you'll see what I mean.

DW and Sonor!

Definately. DW is AMAZING!!!!!!!! A saw a used one at Sam Ash for $3,500... All maple, with natural maple finish, and gold hardware... and HOLY SHIT IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to hear a Sonor Designer... but I really like the Force 3005. IN addition, when it comes to snares, my favorites are bronze ones. Whether it be DW, Ludwig, or (the one I have) Mapex Black Panther, bronze snares sound REALLY nice. I wanna hear the Paiste snare and the bronze Sonor snare.

mine must be Mahavishnu Orchestra with Billy Cobbham.
I love those see through drums.

1. Slingerland
2. Ludwig
3. Fibes
4. Ayotte

DW's are over-rated.

i still have my yamaha DTXpress. im used to it now and even though its a little bit primative for me, i wouldnt change it for the world.
i dont like my tuters roland. it doesnt have many settings i like

Tama

Tama Drums are the way to go. Good sound, pretty affordable. Right now I am rocking a 7-Piece Tama Rockstar with Matching Z-Custom Rock Zildjian Cymbals. Sounds Pretty Sweet.

I was kind of confused at first, then I realized I had misread the title as "Favorite Drum Band", not "Brand". That could be a fun poll.

I've always liked the sound of a Ludwig set.

Fibes

I love my Fibes Crystalite drums. This is my third set of these drums and I love them. I play out about once a week and do a lot of session work so these drums really get a good workout. My snare is a Fibes SFT 5.5 X 14 which was Buddy Rich's favorite snare. He used it even when he was endorsing Slingerland and Ludwig. I think that says it all about the Fibes quality and sound.

I really dig Fibes, they have a nice sound. Second to that would be a nice Sonor kit, which I think is the company that own Pacific...

Pacific is just a cheaper line of DW. I don't know why DW isn't up there, but no big deal.

I play Tama (mostly) which I love. I also have a Ludwig Rocker Elite that I gig with because they're light in weight, fast and easy to set up, and quick to tune/re-tune.

My drum teacher has a Tamburo (or Tambura, some Italian drum set) made from a special african wood. One of the best sets I have ever played on.

I love Pearl so I would say there masters and masterworks (my dream) series. Right now im playing a custom keller set that I built and I love it.

As far as orange county drums go, they are ridiculously overpriced and all your paying for is a name.

lol, hey guys, i cant believe that tama is not even on the poll list. By far the BEST drum kit i have EVER played was a TAMA STARCLASSIC MAPLE!!!!!!!! although they dont come cheap at $7500 its well worth the money. Thanx guys.
