i like

I like your mix!
The womans voice fit's nice!!!!

Guitars sound good.... The drums sound like they were all recorded in a different room- the hi-hat and ride sound totally separate from the rest of the percussion.

Where'd you get your nickname? Babylonian Mythology?

I like the song; I liked the different guitar parts and the bass work was good. The main rhythm guitar could be a bit brighter. I really liked the backing vocals. The keys are nice, too. Overall a very good recording, IMO. Well done!

cool

wow. I weas really impressed. that's the best quality recording I've heard on this site, plus the song is great. nice hook, it's kind of got an eastern feel. one thing - it went on a little to long for me - maybe cut out a verse? but thart's just me, i like snappy stuff. overall - wickeed

A good performance all round! I particularly like the bass and the drums are interesting. Fantastic intro. With a piece that has no obvious flaws, my comments only relate to my personal preferences.

The drums are interesting, but at 0:56, just sounds a little sloppy with the fill in. It's better at the end of the second verse. Out of curiosity, what ride and hi-hat are your drummer using?

I would have preferred an instrumental in the song somewhere. The slight eastern feel lends itself well to that. Not necessarily with the guitar, but perhaps a (synthesized or real) woodwind instrument like a clarinet. That would go well with a plucked guitar accompanying it. Finally, as good as the female singer is, I would have liked a three part harmony. Again, these are just preferences that would make me sit up and take notice if I heard your song on the radio.

Jonathan.

Too much reverb on the clean funk guitar on the left. Sounds like it's a hall while the rest of the band is in a very live souding room. Just turn it down a little and it'll be fine.

To make it sound really great I'd re-record the main vocals. They're good now but if the singer just tried to project his voice a little more it would sound fab. They sound a little weak right now. Also, they're a little too dry. A hint of reverb wouldn't go amiss - short, short decay time but a reasonable amount of pre-delay.

Other than that, great.
