Direct Input - i.e. plugging in directly.
What mics do you have?
T5 is an electric semi hollow body. It needs to be plugged into an amp. The amp needs to be miced. A Fathead will sound great with a T5 into an egnator. I use Fathead ribbons on all sorts of things including guitar amps, so it's super versatile. Another cheaper option is an SM57. It's a lot of people's go to mic for guitar cabs.
As a DI option, you'll need some kind of "dummy load" to plug the head into. You can't just plug a head into something that isn't pulling a load (i.e. an 8 ohm cab)...you can cause all kinds of damage. One way around this, and a way to make DI recordings sound better (not as good as micing the cab) is to use an attenuator like the weber 50w mini mass. It will simultate a 4, 8, or 16 ohm load and won't damage the head, and will make the recordings sound a lot better.
