A strange question maybe, but I don't have access to a drummer or drumkit!
I've been working on a solo demo project, and now that I have the Tascam 488 MKII I want to start recording. I have all the drum tracks programmed and ready in Logic Pro, but what is the best way to record the tracks onto the Tascam? How would it sound if I got an adapter plug and plugged my laptop straight into the recorder? Or would it be better to play the tracks through monitors and mic the monitors?
Believe me, I wish I didn't have to involve digital elements in the project but a real drummer isn't an option at the moment. Any help is appreciated!

I'm not sure to be honest, but I'd start by going directly from the laptop. I don't know how many outs you have or how many tracks you'll need for each demo but if you can do the drums in stereo, that's a good place to start and work from there.
