Is there such a program like EZ Drummer for non-guitar players? Im not a very good guitar player and could use some help. Any ideas? Thanks!

There are various VST instruments that have guitar so you can play them on a midi keyboard, none that I think are very good though.

Guitar for non-guitar players is tough. I think your best bet would be loops and cobble them together.

Practice makes perfect, In the music field, its best to know as much as possible so if it comes down to it and you absolutly have to play, you can. I'm no drummer but I can keep a beat. And as for the actual question, Give fruity loops a try. They have various different instruments with different sounds on them such as distortion. Have fun and good luck!

it's guitar... I mean... you know, goto craigslist, buy a beginner guitar for $50 used, learn the 3 main chords for your song, record each section for a while and edit out to only keep the one sequence you didn't have fret buzz or other crap happening in, loop each section into the song format you want and pump it through an amp sim plugin.

1 entire day later your fingers will be dead but you'll have the sound you want.

a possibly better (but not 100% "you") method is that there are clips you can get, loop clips or whatever of some great guitarists, sonar comes with a ton as does ableton I would expect. loop those and voila you have a pro session guitarist professionally recorded playing in your song.

or give me a few bucks and I'll record it for you and email you the resulting tracks. :-)

it's my job so I'll do it ok for ya.
