Hey there. I have the software EZ drummer by Toontrack and the electronic drum kit "Roland TD-4KX". I plugged my drum kit into my FireWire Interface using a midi cable and can record the midi data fine. It seems to be mapped fine i didn't need to re-adjust anything. the problem is though that the sound I get is the default kit in EZ drummer rather than the Preset on the Drum kits Sound module. For example If i had the sound module set to Percussion or Hip Hop on the Rolands drum module then it wouldn't make a difference to what I hear in EZ Drummer. The same standard drum kit sound will trigger in EZ drummer regardless. I was wondering if it's possible for my DAW (Cubase 5) to record using what the Kit's sound module is set to rather than using EZ Drummers own default kit. Is there maybe a setting I'm missing to do this?

In order to play the Roland sounds, you would need to send the recorded Midi signals back to the Roland module. Unfortunately, it appears as if the TD-4 is only equipped with a Midi 'OUT' and not a Midi 'IN'.
Because of this, the only way for you to playback the specific sounds from your TD-4 is to record the actual audio from the line outs and not the Midi signals... Which would then alienate what you're trying to do in EZ Drummer.

Ohhh allright! Thank you very much :D that clears that up.
