Exporting: how to remove "click" between tracks

Hello,
I'm trying to export a track with a software called AVS AUdio Editor 7.1 and I have very derisible knowledge of "music production" although I did play with it a few times in the last years for my own enjoyment.

The problem I'm having is as follows.
I have two consecutive tracks that play just fine in the mixing software but after exporting the resulting track, when I play it in any mp3 player I get a "scratch" right where the second track starts.

So how do I remove that scratch?
This must be a very newbiesh question I believe.
Thanks.

You need to edit that noise out. You likely have something going on at the beginning of the song that is making that noise. Sometimes you don't hear it whilst playing the song in the software, but it shows itself in the mp3 file (I've experienced this). So, go into the software and use automation to "top and tail" the song. It sounds, however, like you might not know how to do that. You want to edit the song so that that hidden noise can't get bounced into the mp3.

It's not related to the song. I tried lowering the volume where the second track starts (as well as where the first finishes), and the result is the same as before: it has to do with the exporting process. Maybe there's something to tune in the exporting process?

I don't know AVS Audio at all but have a look in the instructions for something called "zero crossings" and make sure that's enabled when you position the second track.

Basically, if you think of an audio waveform, it's an alternating current that crosses the zero point. If the end of the previous track happens to be on a downward movement when you edit to the next track and it's somewhere in the upwards moving positive side, this can result in a click, especially after the MP3 converter gets at it and tries to guess where the signal is going.

Thanks. Probably you nailed the issue. As an update, I tried importing the exported track (the one playing the "click" in any mp3 player) into the software and guess what? The "click" is there no more, it plays fully clear as in pre-exporting. So this is software-related, in the sense the software knows how to deal with it even after it has been exported.
I couldn't find any "zero crossings" or similar in the help file.

I really don't know how to solve this.
