I'm new to MIDI and right now I'm close but yet so far getting everything working.
My setup is as follows:
Interface is a Fast Track Pro
Internal sound card is a Realtek HD
I'm using Windows XP sp3
I'm controlling MIDI with a M-Audio Axiom 25
In the audio portion of my set up I'm good. Getting sound in recorded and out with no major problems. Nothing that I can't work through anyway.
MIDI is a different story. I'm having a couple of problems.
I'm getting a signal in and recording sequences(think that's the right way to put it) with no problem and I can playback and hear using the MS GS Wavetable SW Syth. But when I use a VSTi in Cubase it will record but when I choose the VSTi in the output on the track during playback the sound is barely audible.
The second problem is when I export a MIDI track to audio I dont get anything. I've done, or at least I think I have, it the way the Cubase manuals describe but when the audio track pops there is nothning there. It will breifly give a message saying "under contruction" or something like that, but I never get a wave.
If there is someone out there that can help I would greatly appreciate it. Would save me a ton of time, and I'm ready to get started.
