Exporting in Cubase

It used to work just fine. Suddenly it doesn't. I've got one track. I set the locator arrows right and click export. It does that little processing thing...plopp! 100 %. The file shows up on the desktop but when I play it it's just silence.

Any obvious mistakes I should look out for? I've tried exporting to MP3 and Wav. Neither works.
 
A very common problem is getting the left and right locator arrows BACKWARDS (why they let that happen is beyond me...).
 
Yeah, make sure that the line inbetween the locators is blue and not red!
 
Also, double check in the export window, that you are mixing down from the stereo out, and not an individual track.
 
Yeah it's not the locators. I did that mistake a while ago.
I'll check out the stereo track thing. Thanks!
