Hi everyone,

I’m looking to hire professional voiceover services for an upcoming project but not sure where to start.

What factors should I consider when choosing a voiceover artist? Are there any trusted platforms or agencies you’d recommend?

Also, how do you ensure the voice matches the tone and style of your content?

If you’ve worked with voiceover professionals before, what was your experience like regarding pricing, turnaround time, and quality?

Any tips on communicating your vision effectively to get the best results?

Appreciate any advice or personal recommendations you can share!

If you’ve worked with voiceover professionals before or had to order professional voice talent online, what was your experience like regarding pricing, turnaround time, and quality? Ask ChatGPT

I have a two people I use consistently - but they are for audio books - what are you doing/

Also, how do you ensure the voice matches the tone and style of your content?
I don’t understand - I just listen to the track and can tell if it works with the material - but to get there I audition people - just have them read 2 or 3 minutes of what I want - then I listen back and can tell if it’s good or not right.

If you’ve worked with voiceover professionals before, what was your experience like regarding pricing, turnaround time, and quality?
That’s all dependent on the Talent that you’ve booked -

I’m very descriptive of what I want - the energy I want and the vibe created - I once hired a guy that was relatively new - and he shocked the heck out of me -
he was all into my vision and worked really hard at creating it - and he said afterward that the pre-production I did guided him. I don’t have any recommendation's -
mostly because i don’t want them booked! Seriously these days you aren’t limited to your area - talent can had everywhere.

What genre and purpose? You don't mention anything about your project.

What kind of voice will match your content, in terms of delivery, tone and enunciation?
Do you need horror-movie trailer Basso Profundo or gentle descriptions of a small town?
Male or female? Age range of narrator, as it will show to some extent in the voice (again, dependent on project).

When looking at talent, see what they have done that might be similar to what you are after.
Also, once you start narrowing down choices, make sure they have a quality vocal chain and room so you get a suitably dry, flexible recording you can work with afterwards.

The best in the business are like pro musicians: they can cold-read your material, if needed, and nail it in short order. That's what you pay for.
Alternatively, you can look on Fiverr and weed through some samples to see if someone might be a good fit.

Good Luck,
C.
