Exchanging Projects

I want to collaborate with a guy who live on another end of the country on some mixing and editing, just because it sounds rally fun.
Is there a way in LE to package the whole session, effects, dynamics, automation.....everything, plus the audio and send it to him in a way he can just open it with his LE and rock on?

Anyone else wanting to do this (if its possible) I'm down.
 
Okay, figured it out, now how can i transfer 120MB of files?
 
Ive done this in the past and yes it is fun. I am more talented in the guitar,and bass guitar area. I do own a drum kit and play decent.

On the file transfering , you could use instant messenger or file sharing like soul seek. Broad ban.

I am into all sorts of rock / alternative / folky type stuff.

the way i do it is by using msn, me and my writing partner are both on each others msn chat lists. what i do is go into the pool and remove all the unused media so that the file is ready for exporting and then save it to a new folder, i then compress using winzip or RAR or whatever, go online into a conversation on msn with him and send the file, sometimes i just start the send process off and go out and turn my pc off later if its taking a while.
 
You can also create arcive, which basically only adds the used audio in the project. This will reduce the filesize alot.
 
rip what you have to a MP3..a stereo mixdown of what you have...in turn..he will record his part to your mp3...but he should record in a wav format...then he can send you the wav file to go alongside all your other wav's!..easy as that. :D

One problem, is that i run SX. I should be able to get a copy of LE somehow.
 
Im sure it would going from you to me but no the other way. Im not positive though.

try on the www.digitalmusician.net i m thinking it will be wery interesting for you it s something like one user playing and another recording i m not it try this beause i m have slow connection but if you have fast internet maybe it is solution for you digital link work in cubase like vst plugin also you can use web camera you can try also on www.vstunel.com i m think that the same
 
Well, that digitalmusician site is for SX.....so I will wait for anyone with yahoo or MSN messenger to send it off, its here and waiting!
 
*sigh* issue now is that yahoo and yousendit have a max of 100MB, and I can't get it smaller than 130-ish...any othe ideas?
 
MSN Messenger is unlimited i believe.
