Hi All!

Im not evn sure if this is the write place to ask this but an Evolution UC16 Controller has recently come into my possession due to some strange turn of events...

But I have NO idea what to do with it? I’ve only got the USB cable with it at the moment… what is this strange device with many knobs used for?!?!

I’m currently running Cubase with M-Audio 1010lt as my interface between my comp and my mixer

Any wildddddd suggestions welcome.. I don’t want it to sit around and be wasted~

Thanks!

yes.. i HAVE read the manual...

but it dun really tell me WHAT i use it for.. it just tells me HOW to use it...

am i to plug this into other instruments? what does it actually 'contro'

yes im a noob in this matter...

It can control any device or software that responds to midi continuous controller messages. You can control knobs/faders on softsynths and effects with it as well as recording those movements

thanks altitude,

so i can use it to control cubase ? can i just use the usb cable or does it have to go through the midi cable? (sorry if this sounds stupid ")

I've got the UC33 - I don't know if that's similar or not. It definitely sends midi signals over USB. I use Logic, though, and couldn't figure out how to hook it up to meaningful events without more work than I cared to do. Other apps (maybe Cubase?) seem to have pre-built control templates that make things a lot easier.

Yes. Look up in the manual how to set up a "generic remote"
