Hey guys,
This is my first post so I decided to start with my latest recording. It's an old song I wrote for my wife before we got married about 7 years ago. Back then, I was using a Tascam 4 track cassette recorder and a Yamaha acoustic guitar with a cable input jack plus a Korg keyboard for drums and bass.
Now, I'm using a Zoom MRS8 multitrack recorder for guitars (Gibson LP, Ibanez SZ) and a Peavey Bass. For drums, I use EZ Drummer and mix it all in FL Studio 9. I'm having a heck of a time with my guitar tone, I want it to be much much warmer than it's coming out but I guess that's the main drawback of a portable multitrack that's already pretty much outdated at this point.
I'm still trying to figure out the rudiments of all-Pc recording since I have a Cakewalk UA1G interface but it works with Sonar - which I haven't figured out yet.
Anyway, I'm definitely more than happy to hear your criticisms and kindly be specific if you can so that I can work out the bugs easier.
By the way, I'm no "expert" recording artist or player by any stretch of the imagination. I just like to play and listen to my own songs.
The file says everythingmellowdrums haha! That's because earlier versions had a kind of more "metal" sound which my friend said didn't really fit the vibe of the song so I changed it to something more mellow.
Many thanks in advance!
