Anyone using one? If so whats your thoughts on it? Also let me make sure that it is an audio interface/controller/mixer correct? Just wanted to clear that up.
I haven't used the EZbus, but I did research it a bunch. Yes, it can be used as a mixer, controller, and audio interface. You can have 2 channel i/o to your computer using USB, 2 channel with SPDIF, and 8 channels if you have an ADAT interface - all simultaneous. Event also sold an ADAT interface (I think called the EZ8) to use with it. I would own the EZbus today if the deal would have worked out. It is a very versatile piece of equipment.
you can record 2 with the USB connection, plus 2 more if you have a SPDIF, plus another 8 channels if you have an ADAT interface in your computer. So if you have the right connections, you can get up to 12 simultaneous channels.
I've had the ezbus for about 2 1/2 years and I have to say it's pretty awesome. I for for a bit over $500 new and got the adat card all from sweetwater.
I was a little skeptical about the usb, but darnit if it doesn't work and sound great. Plus, you can use it as a stand alone mixer with compression and eq on all 8 channels.., AND it also control your DAW (I use Sonar 5 and tracktion)
I don't underdstand why it didn't seem to sell to well. Mayve it seemed to good to be true, but it;s not.
