EV Interface console.....

Just wondering if anybody knows anything about the ElectroVoice Interface console. Did they actually design and build it? I have also seen an Altec Lansing version of the Interface. Seems to be indentical aside from the brand name. The reason I ask is because the Interface console is completely unlike any of EV's other consoles. The look and feel of the Interface is similar to a Soundcraft Delta series. Anyone know the scoop on the Interface??
