Drums sound like a different room than your other recordings. New room or is the BB making THAT much difference?

But no thats just my standard clock ive been running on the digi.

Its just a reverb plugin.

Sounds good to me. :D

Where were you able to rent the BB? I need to rent a good EQ or maybe a Pre/EQ.

Also, do you ever ventture over to Gearslutz? Dan Lavry made a bunch of posts in a clocking thread that were a good read. Explained a lot of stuff - in particular about external clocking. I'll try and find it an give you the link...

Pay attention to Dan Lavry's posts (Lavry Converters)

:D

It seems he recommends that your converters and clock be internal, or of the same make (language)

However.

I noticed a sizeable difference in the stereo spectrum (wider imageing) when i used the BB with the digi converters. Hands down it was an improvement.

Jitter or not.

Yes, because the converters in the digi are crap(which you already know). He was talking in respect to all the high end clocks found in Lavry, Mytek, Apogee, Lucid, etc.

One of the things I took from his posts was that your A/D should be running off it's own clock, and then slave the rest of your digital gear to it - and to try and get all your A/d in one chassis if possible.

Also, If you have a good converter, and try to clock it with a slightly better external clock, all the jitter intoduced during the transmital would MORE than negate the gains.

Basically, rather than buy a high end clock, one would be better off getting a good converter with a good clock and slaving from it - although that is a bigger investment.

I dunno....... search around geaslutz if you haven't before, there is a lot of good discussions and a LOT of pro's hang out on there, as well as many of the top manufacturers (such as Dan). Right now, in the guest moderator forum George Massenburg, Mike Shipley, Elliot Shiener, Al Schmitt, and a couple others are answering questions - pretty cool. :D

edit - ....and sorry for the thread hijack......... :D

Himjack smijack bro.

I dig talking about gear.

I plan on buying the a/d 16x and getting the HD adapter card soon, so i will have met Dan's criteria reguardless.

And thanks for the tip, but i like to hang at PSW. :D

Ross hogarth, Gerst, jj Blair, B.blackwood, Will Wittman And Massenburg has his own furum there too.

Very dramatic sounding start. Actually, moves into the next part very well. Nice playing. It's very full sounding, and meshes together very well. Lot's of dynamics. Guitar part is a great "diversion". Fits well, but is different than what you've heard so far. Nice tone. Good playing. Keys sound very good. Nice tone with them as well. Overall, I found it very cool. Lots of dynamics, and all the sounds played off and with each other well. :)

Would make a great intro and ending on a CD.

Drums really stand out and the piano is soooooo nice.

And the lead kicks it all into Ass gear.

Is this all your creation Finster? Great piece and mix. I wouldn't change a thing.

Probably the MP3 but I hear distortion in my left speaker at :10.

Pretty cool stuff - what videogame is this for?
