hey guys so i currently have a crown xls 602 power amp and have running through my behringer 2442fx mixer and i have my XLR both left and right cables going from the MAIN OUTPUTS of the mixer to the Main Inputs on the amp and from the amp I have Speakon outputs going to the TRS inputs on my PA speakers which are Peavey 112DL's i cant find clear specs on it but that is my setup right now and my problem is that i do not have any sound going out of the speakers. i know the speakers work because ive plugged them in to the phones jack on my mixer and sound is coming out clear.
any input or help would be appreciated!

thanks in advance!

Your speakers are a mono input your cable is TRS try pluging your TRS in to the first click only.

i've seen lotsa speakers and dont recall ever having a trs input on one... does the crown have a signal present light??? ok quick check shows it has some leds ... any activity there??? yes?? then the problem is the speaker or cables to it.... if no... the the problem is the mixer or cables from there to the crown.... does the mixer have a separate master output other than the mains fader???? alotta mixers do...

First, the XLR outs on the mixer are going what type of connector on the power amp? Is it an XLR? or Jack (TRS balanced or TS unbalanced).

Second, Are the Speakon connectors wired correctly, some have 4 pins, 1+, 1-, 2+, 2-. Usually you use 1+ speaker positive, 1- speaker negative, unless you are using a bi amped system with a seperate crossover. The connections to use may be written on the back of the amp.

Third, The speaker jacks will be TS mono jacks, 1+ of the speakon is connected to the tip and 1- of the speakon is connected to the ring.

See how it goes after you have checked this out.

Cheers

Alan.
