Equipment help newbie

hi all am literally just starting to look for recording equipment to record guitar (electric/accoustic) on a bit of a budget will have some space to set up but not acres of room and just want to record 1 track at a time 'for now' can i get a setup that will record my acoustic and from an amp as i dont want to be buying equipment for both if poss.

You need some kind of input device/interface, a computer, some software, or a stand-alone recorder. Besides your guitars, what equipment do you have? Read around these forums first - there's tons of info.

A nice little interface and a sm57 should do the trick.
