my SOUND CHAIN consists of a preamp with 120 db dynamic range,compressor-limiter with 115 db dynamic range and a sound interface with max. 115 db dynamic range.

if i add EQUALIZER with max. dynamic range of only 109 db---will this effect dramatically the quality of my recording???

What will you be recording that requires more than 109db of dynamic range?

Not really... The dynamic range of the signal chain is only as bad as it's weakest link... This EQ will only reduce your existing dynamic range by 6 dB... shouldn't even notice it...

Not really. Noise is additive, but at such low level, the amount added is small. Your mic and your room probably supply the majority of noise in your chain. If you have trouble with grounding or interference, that can be noisy too.

yes after adding that eq your recordings will all suck.
