hello,

im using a line6 POD2.0 into my mixer,

how would you recommend tweaking?

should i set the EQ on the mixer to 12 o'clock? and tweak the POD,

or should i set the POD's EQ to 12 o'clock? and tweak the mixer,
im not really to sure what to do, to get the most out of my gear

thanks, i hopw this is in the right forum, if not feel free to move it, dont delete it :)

thanks again

all that really matters is the end result so it really does'nt matter. if it were me though, i'd get as close to the sound i wanted out of the pod and then tweak the board eq.

experimenting can turn up some cool sounds though.

yeah, but because the POD is always running through the Mixer,
the EQ is on regardless,
so i was just looking for some advice as in "what" to have the EQ on the mixer set to While tweaking the POD.

cheers!

when i looked at your avatar i thought it was Ren from the ren and stimpy show LOL!

Yeah, just whatever sounds best ;) . If you want to hear the truest results from using the POD's EQ, set the mixer's Eq flat.

By the way, you really kick ass in Symphony X. :D

Flat as in 0% ?

okay so work on the tone coming directly from the POD, and just use the mixers EQ to enhace it?

ill have a fiddle, thanks for the quik responses, i wish i knew about this forum a few years ago

and thanks LOL! MJR is one of my gods :D

Yeah, flat as in minus nothing and plus nothing. Zero, or however that looks on your mixer.

I would try it both ways actually. You never know, you might like the sound of the EQ on the board better. You might like a little of both. This is a good time for experimentation.
