EQ issues

ive been running my g-major thru my efx loop on my triple rectifier and my behringer eurorak mx 802a ( yea yea i know about behringer) in th eloop returning to the input of the fx lopo...this really alters the sound...all i want is an additional hi mid low,etc....to tweak but this really changes the sound...can anyone suggest a good rackmount eq for a few hundred bucks?

God, what's wrong with Behringer? It's not the mixer that alters your sound, so no need to take a piss

Stereo 31-band EQ for like 150 bucks or something. My 7-band Behringer EQ pedal does a great job, I'm sure whatever problem you have with your sound you can fix it with this.

yeah, it seems that one of the things that behri does ok is eq.

but i think you're hearing the sound alteration as a result of your signal chain.

first, minimize the passage of audio signals. beyond that, i think if you're working in a tight budget, mish's suggestion will work.

What's wrong with the 3 band parametric EQ that's built into the G-Major?

over all behringer's do not have a good track record...
ahhh an english chap ....wondered why take a piss looked funny at first lol

theres nothing wrong with the 3 band in the gmajor - in fact i love it l....im looking for more depth with another rackmount eq in addition to the g major

A lot of guitar players used to us the furman PQ-3 and/or PQ-4.

Those should be pretty cheap on ebay.

Haha I keep forgetting it's such a British phrase. The worst one is probably when you say "right, I'm off for a fag" and you have Americans going all wondering what is wrong with you
