I use MusicLab RealGuitar as a plug-in to Sonar, but this question applies to all steel string acoustics.

Does anyone have any starting-point EQ suggestions to make the strings sound looser? I understand that is a subjective description, but if you have recorder or listened to a lot of guitars you will know what I mean.

The RealGuitar stereo sample if phenomenally good, but the strings sound to thick and too tight. I am looking for a sound closer to the sound of strumming an unamplified Strat. The acoustics on the first track of KT Tunstall's Eye to the Telescope sound good to me.

Best regards,

Konrad

It doesn't strike me as an eq fix. I woudl think of the sound of thick and tight as clean and stable Vs a looser strung one.
