How's come it is that PR-100s tend to be called/sold as Texans, even though a Texan has parrallelagram fingerboard inlays, instead of dots? Also, the PR-100 has a Gibson neck and truss rod cover. I'm about to buy an Epiphone PR-100 from a private seller, to replace one that I'd owned from 1992 - 1998 (got stolen in 1998), and was noticing that "Texan" is used quite a bit to describe the PR-100, so what gives? Not that it's going to keep me from buying the PR-100, but I'm just curious.

Other than the tie with the Beatles I know very little about the Texans...

Think I saw one in Guitar Center in Indy last week though...

I don't know, but

my Texan (early 70's) is nothing like the Texans of the early 60's and nothing like the Texans of today. In this case it's kind of like cars. A current GTO and an original GTO don't even resemble each other.

I don't know where I was going with this...

Sorry.

Hey guitar junkie!

So are you in Indy too, or just close by?

We're getting quite a central Indiana group here. Maybe we should schedule one of those jam-fest things.

Of course, I wouldn't play at it, but it would be cool anyway...

which Bullet did you end up getting?

I got the Ice Blue Metallic w/black pickguard. Actually I got it because my dad had just died then, and the blue kinda matched my dad's casket. He would have liked it. About the color of one of his favorite cars he had once.

I'm in Connersville...about an hour and a half from Indy. The Bullet Special that I got is Ice Blue Metallic with black pickguard.

Hmmm

We both have the Ice Blue Bullet Special, we both have POD 2.0's, I have an Epi Texan, your looking at an Epi Texan...

I always wondered where that other kid that lived with us went, I think his name was Brother, or something like that...
