It's possible you could try the real "Les Paul Forum", but in my experience those guys there are real jerks. You may be able to just send an email to Gibson Customer service if you want more info.

I did get one reply on the Epi forum (I posted the question in the electric guitars section) and a guy said they just made some of the Standards as bolt necks, which is something I did not know.

yea, Ill try the customer service.. hehe weird... maybe my Epi is from Mars and the Earth people have never heard about it!

edit: Thanks H2H!! I just saw your post in the Epi page... yea. I was wondering about the 'limited' also but not proof so far... I posted in the general forum in Epi.. but nobody really gave a decent answer either...

Try the Epiphone electrics forum, the people there seem to answer serious and interesting questions quickly. I'm sure someone there will answer in short order. Very nice looking guitar, I have a solid black Epi LP standard which I'm very happy with :)

Oops, you've been there and tried that :o

hehe, yea. I've gone through many websites and reviews but nobody really knows exactly... nobody really knows anything about it.

mine is also a bolt-on. it is actually a "les paul studio S.E. (special edition)". it was a store exclusive guitar, i bought mine new at sam ash. i love the thing, but i shall note that i have replaced the jack and toggle (switch craft), bridge (g-string saddle busted), and the bridge pickup currently in there is the gibson 500T. just a side note, the joe perry signature model was almost identical, but with different pickups and a set neck... my buddy has one and i must say i prefer my bolt :-D.

Cool, man! Thanks. You solved the puzzle! :D
just wondering... does yours have 'Studio' or 'Gibson' written on the tross rod cover?
