look gvdv ...... I get that you have a right to react as you wish.
However, and I'm saying this politely ...... I'm NOT critisizing you ...... I don't agree that anyone should apologize simply because someone else says they should.
It is possible to overreact and it is possible that the person that's taking offense is mistaken.
It was pointed out to you, and politely at first .... that it was a harmless joke ....... and it was ..... you said something about 'major' and someone else came in and made a joke about it being 'minor'.
A silly joke perhaps but there's no way in the world that anyone could take that as an insult to you ....... it's just a silly joke and , IMO, silly that you reacted that strongly about it.
But you have the right to react as you wish. So do we.
I simply don't think that you and only you get to say that it was something to apologize for.
In that case there are absolutely people on this board that get offended over absolutely nothing (not saying you ..... I haven't interacted with you enough ) and we'd all have to apologize to them for almost anything we say.
Personally, I simply put on ignore anyone that you have to walk on eggshells around because they're so delicate that they see insults everywhere and I'm not interested in examining everything I say to be sure that there might not be something they'll overreact to.
And others on this board will come after anyone like that hard until they drum them off the board so I'm gonna say you should avoid the cave ....... there's a couple guys there you don't want to run into!
