Got an old Ensoniq ESQ1. First off, I'd like to know if anyone knows what it's worth. Then after that, I'd like to sell it. If anyone here can help with either, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Monte

If it's in working order, it'll probably sell for $300-$350. That's how much my SQ-80 is worth, and the SQ-1 is very similar. Try selling on e-bay, those fuckers buy ANYTHING. There's also a vintage keyboard site, but the address escapes me. Try looking in the keyboard forum, that may be where I found the site.

I paid $400 for mine with a 3 tier keyboard stand. It was worth every penny.

Just out of curiousity, Why the heck so much....

I just bought my current-model E-Mu Sampler on Ebay, for $450... (ESI 2000).. Came with 128 MB Ram, CDrom scsi drive and a bunch of disks.. You can get an Akai S2000 sampler for that type of price also....

These prices you guys are taking seem very, very high to me.... Unless im missing something.... Is this a sought-after vintage board or something?..

Just out of curiousity.

Just pulled this off "vintage keyboard explorer".....

If it's immaculate and comes with a bunch of disks, go for $400, (Start bids at $340 if selling on ebay) and if it's all banged up and doesn't come with any acc's, I would go for about $200(start bids at about $140 if selling on ebay) (In my opinion)...

Yeah Vox, the guys doing techno love these things because of the "fat" analog sounds. I really don't get it either, as they're analog/digital hybrids and not the real deal - but... to each his own I guess. Hell, I bought mine in a pawn shop for $30 just to use as a midi controller. Other than that, it's of no real use to me.

Yes, I bought mine for about $200 at a Mom and Pop music store. It came with only one disk but the board was/is in good working order.
