hey everyone
i'm trying to record my electric guitar using two mics
a dynamic and a condenser ... i put my condenser on a fig of 8 mode
for it to pick the room sound and i put the dynamic really close to the amp
thing is ... when i'm recording the condenser picks up the pick sound along with the guitar ... iv'e tried moving around with the guitar but i can't get rid of it ...
iv'e tried using cubase's noise gate to no avail
please help me someone ...
how do i get rid of this pick sound ... ??? :(

experiment with different thicknesses of picks, try changing your git tone, practice until you make less pick noise. (the good money is on one of these)
turn up the amp, take the mic off of fig 8 and use a nother mic for room sound, move the amp or yourself into another room..........

to eliminate pick noise, use the search function on this forum, then hit record

To eliminate pic noise...don't use pics...

A compromise are the softies or stubbies. If that doesn't do it, technique.

Are you close micing? How about a recorded sample? It might be that you're a critical listener. If you're the player, does it sound worse on recording than you thought it would while you were playing? It could be mic placment...

Tryin' to help but you've got to give us just a bit more.

Just isolate you or the amp....I'd imagine you don't want to switch picks, so try to get as far away as possible from the condenser!

Pick Noise

Is the pick noise being picked up where the pick is hiting the strings or is it being picked up as it comes through the amp?

The OP might be sleeping. In a different time zone for sure.
