That was the ground noise cap. It won't hurt you as long as the amp is unplugged.

AHH! The Death Cap. You should cut that one out anyway. It doesn't do anything useful in a grounded amp, and if it shorts out your chassis (and potentially your strings) go live at mains level. A bad thing, to be removed from any amp which is going to be played.
