Does anyone know of an online source (besides RadioShack) for quality electronic components, like resistors, caps, switches, etc.? I've got some ideas for some things I'd like to build, improve my understanding.

Also, in an A/B switch with 2 inputs and one output where you switch between the inputs, would you

A) connect both of the input ground leads to the output ground lead and just switch the hots, or

B) switch the hots and grounds.

I'm thinking of doing something like this to build a 6-in/4-out patchbay of sorts for my guitar rig.

Thanks,
Greg

Gotta Go Here

Make sure you go to http://www.partminer.com and sign up. It's a global search engine for electronic parts and the best I've seen. Searches a multitude of online distributors, tells you if they stock it (and stock level) and sorts by price. I use it for home projects and my day job (electro-optical calibration for Uncle Sam).
