Don't know right yet.

But I will try it out on a live set up at a podium. Got tons of political things, town meeting and the such and once I find how it captures ..... I'll have a go at it in the studio.

Suppose to be the number one snare microphone ~ but that would mean tossing out the MXL Cube ... :p

Kick drum, amps and just about everything else that I put my LDD's in front of will be the testing grounds.

I can't wait.

I'll have to see how it plays with my preamp selections as well!

Like a kid at christmas man.
I need to buy some mics to get a quick fix! Especially since the oktavas are about to be set on fire. lol.

That problem with your 219's are a little baffling to me Paul.

Tell me!
Well, two layers it is tomorrow. I imagine that'll sort it out.
Shame though.

Shouldn't have to go to two layers - unless you think it's an RF problem.

Meh it's my thread we can talk about what ever you want! :D

I have such an obsession with this microphone. The sizzle it has on coutant is unreal. 'm been sporadically searching for it and I have yet to find it.

Not much more to say...It has a lot more "life" to it, I suppose, than other vintage microphones from EV. It's certainly not a subtle sounding microphone at all.

My holy grail search ended today went the USPO made it's deliveries.

Gonna run it through a few things later tonight, then it's off for some podium duties, then off to the studio.
