I would,
Uninstall hardware drivers
make sure OBSound is killed (best in BIOS)
Uninstall DAW software
Run a registry cleaner like Ccleaner. Reboot, run it again.
Re install DAW and hard ware.

Dave.

Thank you very much this fixed my problem. I just reinstalled the driver for the soundcard which i done before and that didn't fix it, then ran ccleaner which is what i think fixed my problem i would normally leave the registry aloan but this time i cleaned it it found plenty of problems so i clicked fix all the reboothed the pc and pressed record in soundforge and it didn't happen again.

Thanks again.

And i just like to say what a great website this is i only came across it when searching google to fix my problem i have been on it every day since

I have been using Ccleaner for several years now on probably 6 or more computers of all OS'es and have never had a problem. I really know Jack S about the things 'cept what I have picked up. I always save the changes to the Registry, dunno why!
