Ok Gerg, lets kick shit shit up for 2016.....NO MORE LOSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not my favorite of yours, but it sounds pretty nice. I'm having to listen on phones and I almost always hear your stuff through speakers, so this is different.

Bass and drums are crazy fast and tight. The upper range of the bass guitar cuts through really nicely. I wonder if the vocal could come up just a bit during some of the verses? It wasn't always clear. I did really like the hail to the chief interlude though. That was cool.

I just couldn't disagree more with the whole sentiment, but I guess I could go to the cave if I wanted to talk politics....no wait, that's actually the last place on earth any reasonable person would go for that kind of discussion.

Love the lyrics...great job greg ....seriously.Your stuff always rocks....deserves to be heard by more!
Hey thanks a lot Queepy. :)

The lyrics are great!
Thanks Randy Cline.

Sounds like a combination of Ramones and Dropkick Murphy - fun song!
Thanks dude. :)

We're gonna run through this country like Germany through Poland!

Thanks heat. I usually reference on like 5 or 6 different setups, and I have one set of AKG 'phones that the vocals in the verses seem a little low on as well. They seemed fine to me everywhere else, but I habitually mix em a little low I guess.

Ahh dude! I needed this lol after yesterday. This is awesome in every aspect. Much Respect.

One thing though? Is it my ears or is there perhaps some intonation stuff happening with your leads? Did you double track that with two different guitars or something? I don't hear it in your noodling after 2:39 but like the lower note leads in the intro and Hail to The Cheif part. It doesn't sound amateur it really works? Maybe it was intended? Most likely just my ears!

Awesome still though Greg.

Thanks dude. I'm not quite sure what you mean with what you're describing. Maybe I can describe what I did to maybe answer your question: First off, I used only one guitar for all rhythms and leads on the whole thing - my Les Paul. The intro lead/riff thing is double tracked. Same riff played the same way through the same guitar through the same amp into the same mic. It's literally the same thing, just played twice and panned a little left and right. My natural ham fisted vibrato does kind of give it a warbly sound sometimes. Then the little break after the first verse/chorus is two tracks harmonizing ala Iron Maiden. Lol. The Hail to the Chief section is again two tracks, one played low and one played an octave up. It's the same melody, just an octave apart. Then that goes right back into the intro riff with the octave separation still for the first half, then harmonizing in the second half. The last little "lead" thing as the song rides out is just one track of...I don't even know what you call that. Just some accompaniment. So every "lead" type guitar sound in the song, except the last one, is double tracked exactly the same, as an octave, or a harmony.

sharp as a tac...song and sentiments aside what a great mix...through the snare rolls you can pick each hit so clearly...only Rami mixes this clean imo...very nice job
ticks every box...I think your fun, spewed out songs, always have the most energy. I guess because you just rock out.

man you should have youtubed this last week, you would have been a fucking phenomena...the national anthem was excellent lol

Anyway I, like you, am just glad Obama won :thumbs up:

Haha thanks dude. One day I'm gonna have to get one of you to show me how to make a fucking video so it can get no views. :D

Interesting, you're a punk rocker? :-) (please note, I mean no disrespect by that statement) It's just not what I expected. Lady Gaga was in town because one of her Asian friends told her it was "Election day." She was disappointed when she learned the truth. It's pretty cool that you can just write a song like that, on the sperm of the moment? I don't understand the process like that, for me? It's more like an earthquake, I'm there, it happens, there's a lot of shaking and confusion about what's going on, and then it's over. Also very similar to many 3rd dates I've had... I liked it better when I heard it than when I read it, good job.

(are you sure those weren't .mid drums? ;-)

Thanks dude. Them's real mic'd drums played with sticks by me. :D

I'm not really a "punk rocker". Not by common definition anyway. I don't wear bondage pants or have colored hair. I just like the music. I'm mostly inspired by the American vein of punk. American punk was more about rock and roll and some musicianship. It was pretty different from the UK's version of punk, which is more commonly known for fashion and shock tactics and what people generally think of when you say "punk rock". For me, writing a song like this is no big deal. It comes naturally. It's not particularly difficult to play and it's not a complex arrangement or anything. It's all I know. I don't try to stretch out and try new things. I just try to do what I do to the best of my ability and improve within my own little narrow scope. And sometimes, like this one, a song hits like a bolt of lightning and I can get it all done at once. Like kcearl mentioned, these types are typically my better songs.

Really good stuff - fun and really well done. Something to think about maybe (I say 'maybe' cuz I don't make music like this so I guess it's possible I don't know what I'm talking about :D) - the snare. It's all tame, right? It doesn't get in the way of the vocals at all, right? But maybe it should be a bit louder with more attitude, cuz that's what the music is all about. Maybe it should be just a *little*bit more difficult to make out the vocals on a punk-type tune like this. To my ears, the snare sounds a bit too tidy - it's kind of like a biker with tats and piercings and hair, but the moustache and beard are really primly trimmed and the tats are all polite and the piercings don't go through any unusual body parts. Bikers shouldn't be tidy, right? Ditto snares on punk stuff?

Liked the tune a lot. More.

Thanks for checking it out. I get what you're saying. I try to take some pride in making clean recordings, so if the snare is "too tidy", then I guess that's a good thing. If it takes away from your listening experience, then that's just how it goes. Most of the stuff I listen to is a pretty rough production. I don't think any less of it. Nor do I ever think something is too good. I just try to make fun songs and nice recordings. :D

"Fun Songs And Nice Recordings". Name for the next album?
