Hello fellow MD8 users! I use a Alesis midiverb 4 and a Roland SDE-1000 delay (what I happened to have laying around) thru my effects loops to apply effects during mixdown,it seems the effect is coming strongly thru the right side of the monitors(mix)any comments on why? Why are there 2 returns for each effect,since you really don't pan.Thanks for any info!

Yo Bluzman of Blues:>

There are two effects loops so you can use two different effects processors if you wish to. I do. I use the Alesis Midiverb III on one set of effects/sends and I use an Ensonique DP-4 on the other set of effects/sends. Most of the time, I just use one effects box.

Why are you getting a strong signal on one side? I'm not sure but what are your "dials" dialing when you mix? If you leave the pan knobs way left or way right, that could be a cause of not getting an equal distribution of sound signal. {man, I like that phrase}

When you get ready to mix, get all the pan knobs pointed straight up; then, you can adjust your pans if you need to.

Hope this helps,

Just a test. Dragon, the great scaley ONE, finally got my name back on line via his precise directions.
