I have acheap 4 track recorder as well as a yamaha mixer, my question is after I power up my condenser mic I would like to add effects to it (for my vocals) but the mixer just has aux no effects loop. Also can I use my compressor guitar pedal to do the trick? all I want to do is just add some delay and some compression, but cant figure how to hook the pedal up to get the effect I need on the channel .

The aux send IS the effects loop (aux send "sends" signal to your effects unit and it is recovered at the aux return.

Yo MnDog:

Track rat has posted an answer but it doesn't appear on the forum list; however, it is visible by scrolling down in the reply slot.

You can run your mic [with phantom power applied?] into your pedal compressor -- not familiar with that type but I use an RNC.

From the compressor your run and out into your recorder and you will have compression.

T.Rat answered the way into your 4 tracker.

Or, you can run your mic into an outboard effects unit, out from the effects unit into your recorder and you will get your fx with the vocal; however, most folks add the reverb after recording.

See if you can see the post by T. Rat.

Green Hornet:D :p
