im starting to build my rack..and have nothign so far..

i was thinking the first thing to get is an effects processor...i do only hiphop vocals...and it would be cool to have something that could have diffrent choruses and effect and things like that..right now im doing everything digitally..i think it would sound better and be easyer if it was part of my chain tho...

any ideas of wats good? i wanna keep it under 200 but if these something thats really good thats a little more im willing to put cash down..

thanks guys

I second TC Electronics M300 as the best cheap multi-FX box out there, especially if you are recording digitally.-Richie

this seems like a good piece of gear for reverb..and i might buy it just for that..but it doesnt look like it has many effects dealign with chorus, etc..or am i wrong?

You might want to take a look at the Behringer V-Verb REV 2496 (24bit 96khz) for around $150.00. Quality is always a question of taste, you'll often see completely different opinions on the same unit, the same reverb some describe as smooth, dense and warm others will describe as harsh and grainy etc. Sound on sound and music tech mag gave the Behringer great reviews, check them out. You can also go to Harmony Central where dozens of people have recommended it.

Keith Gemmell from Music Tech Mag: "For this price bracket the quality of reverbs are superb, warm and smooth and extremely realistic. Without a doubt the Behringer V-Verb Pro is highly recommended." 9 out of 10 stars.

Musictechmag review

Paul White from sound on sound: "If you aspire to the best, but don't have the budget, the REV2496 is one of life's better compromises"

Botinock- M300 has chorus, a de-esser, a rudimentary compressor, 2 flanges,4 delays, 2 tremolos, pingpong, slapback and phaser. For the big time FX boxes, that's fairly weak, but you are talking about a $200 box. It also is a fair standalone analog to digital and digital to analog convertor with balanced outs. The parameters on all the FX programs are editable and saveable. Not only that, it sounds pretty good. What's not to love?-Richie

thanks alot guys..im prolly gonna go ahead with the mx200..it sounds great...

thanks for all the help
