so i needed something to fill out sound, and have tried strings...but to no luck.

i had before ended this song with cellos and violins just playing crazy crap and this song used to be on guitar.

this time i just screwed around with my piano track to get some noise out of it.

the second verse through after the song are what to listen for....but comment on anything really.

this is the last track of a cd just fyi

The piano is much fuller & works well -
What are the little clicks & flutters around the edges - are they the artifacts of backwarding etc as show up at the quite section?
TheThe wooshing build works a treat too - seems like you're managed to be Canute for a few bars.
The long stretch of almost quiet is, perhaps, a little long - I'd cut it to a couple of bars so that the final noisenik section has a chance to make an impact.
Hey, it'd be cool to reverse the "Don't pass me by I plea" phrase & have the correct version on top over the fade out.

Man I love your work! Pretty nicely done. Was this voice recorded with the same MXL990? If it is, sounds pretty good. I sended you a PM a couple of days ago. I dont know if you get it. Keep up the good work, man.

Really like this, reminds me of rufus wainwright a little at the beginning. Sounds to me like the vox could maybe do with coming up a little over the louder piano parts, but I'm listening in some cheap headphones so they're not terribly accurate.
LOVED the ending, but then I'm a fan of weird noises. Perhaps a little bit more piano bashing at the end? I think strings would make it sound too tuneful to be honest, lol.

It sounds cool, I'd bring up the vox though. I like the stuff at the end, but I think it might be cool if you brought the main part back in after it, maybe not but it is something to try.

i didn't cut, but i did raise it to make more of an impact. i like the last phrase reverse idea. i did that also, thanks

they were too dramatic and they would take a long a time to do and especially so for this song.

i brought up the vocals as people have said.

thank you all..

Hey I'm new here. I like the wide piano with the center vocals. However, the vocals seem to get lost when the piano plays with more attack. I think the vocals need to come in front a bit more, specially that the singing is very good a needs to shine over the piano. I like the reverse effect at the end. It is a great Album filler.

i would need to know which you listened to to respond, automata

I listened to some of #1, now listening to #2...

Definitely. The vocals are buried at times.

I like the song, the vibe, the vocals. I would have had the piano tuned, but maybe thats just me.;):D

i put the vocals up even more..

i put distortion on them at the end of the second chorus...copied the track twice...put different sort of distortion on each, and panned hard with clean up the middle.

i don't know if i like this though.

part of my wants to take it off..but i need something there. there's more noise, and harmonies...but i wanted something more...i don't know if this works...

Very nice. I heard the 1st and 3rd mixes...the vocals are clearer on this 3rd mix. I like the idea of the triple tracked vocals towards the end, but didn't care for the distortion...sorry. However I agree that something more there makes sense...did you listen to the same set up minus the distortion?

Either way, another really nice recording - you have a distinct and unique sound. Love the ending. :)

i took it out. i didn't like it

i guess i'll leave it as is. i guess i have to be content at some point.

I'm hooked with this song. Great work, amigo!

It could be so cool to track this with a ribbon mic. It can give that vintage sound that I think could be really nice with this song. Once again, great work.
